Mr Rook’s Speak Easy Presents…The Kiss of Forgetfulness by Nell Phoenix
Thursday 21st May
Doors at 7pm // Performance from 7:30pm
Stories of love, luck and sharp objects told for adults, with the dark, the murky and the weird left lurking in the heart of the story.
There is a land where the wind has sharp teeth and rough hands, where the oracle is loose-leaf tea and a kiss plays tricks of mis-remembering.
Now the filthy flood waters are rising, and a young woman braves the storm to uncover where magic and love are lost in the soot-stained city …
‘the chilli-chocolate of the storytelling world’ Debs Newbold, Globe Teller
‘Nell Phoenix tells with wit, humour and theatrical skill’ Xanthe Gresham
“Nell balances beautifully the comedic, the magical, and occasionally the downright rude.” Crick Crack Club
