Andrew became interested in the Australian Aboriginal Art and in particular became fascinated in the way that by using simple marks, dots, lines, and a limited pallet the Aboriginal Artists produced amazing and complex pieces of work. Andrew’s current body of work is influenced by his experiences while living and working in Queensland.

The exhibition reflects the start of the Creation of Mathematics in “Dream Time” starting with a single dot building simple lines and curves and gradually progressing to more complex shapes and ideas.

Each of Andrew’s paintings is based on a single theme/function line, curve, circle, ellipse, parabola or the combination of single line and a curve. The theme line is then repeated so that the image is transformed into a more complex pattern with many different additional coincidental patterns.
