FAIR HOUSING FOR FROME PUBLIC MEETING
Saturday 29th April
2.00pm - 5.00pm
Unaffordable house prices? Rising rents? Hidden homeless?
This is a public meeting for anyone concerned about their current or future housing in Frome, or who cares about social justice and the future of our town. It will be opened at 2pm by Frome Mayor Toby Eliot.
Join us to hear stories of local housing need, discuss solutions, share your own ideas, and put questions to a panel including David Warburton MP, representatives of Mendip and Frome councils, and community housing experts. Free entry and refreshments.
This public meeting will launch a one-year campaign that will examine the extent of Frome’s housing crisis, explore what we can learn from housing initiatives elsewhere in the UK, and come up with some strategies and solutions. Further meetings will take place on Monday evenings in May, April, June, September, October and November.
Fair Housing for Frome (FHfF) is a community group run by volunteers that secured funding from Frome Town Council in March 2017 for a one-year campaign to raise awareness of and seek solutions to the housing crisis in the town.
