Architecture Club – Designs for a Life of Stuff
Tuesday 2nd October
Doors 19.00 / Start 19.30
New houses built in the UK are criticised for not providing enough space for basic activities. With the modern desire for en-suite bathrooms, study rooms and utility areas, more rooms are being crammed into the same footprint. The living room, kitchen, corridor and bathroom sizes have been reduced as a result. Often the lack of space standards has been blamed for allowing this, and has resulted in the UK having some of the smallest houses in Europe. So, where does the stuff in our lives feature (if at all) when designing today’s homes?
