‘Jazz washes away the dust of everyday life’
Art Blakey
This Sunday – L’Esprit du Jazz will be filling the chapel with their cool but upbeat cafe jazz.
Accordionist Karen Street, saxophonist Andy Tweed, guitarist Andrew Barrett and Dave Griffiths – bass and mandolin – combine shades of Django Reindhart, tango and swing with Karen Street’s original compositions to ensure a varied and memorable repetoire.
There will be saxophone workshops with Andy Tweed from 2-4.30pm and then an evening performance from the jazz quartet beginning at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm).
There are tickets available on the door – £10/8 under 18. The workshop is £10. And a joint ticket for workshop and concert is £18/16 under 18. For an advanced ticket – visit www.bigshedmusic.co.uk.
