Steve Knightley: “The Winter Yards in Spring” Solo Tour

In true Knightley style he pulls no punches in this collection’s lyrics or themes. Topics covered include the migration crisis and the Post Office scandal. Title track The Ride (The Winter Yards) is a lockdown lament inspired by a Devon-based father and son fairground business that was unable to leave its winter yards for two summers during the COVID pandemic. Here Knightley uses it as a metaphor for the need we all have for communal experience.

The choir is run by Lucy Goldsack, who took over from Nickomo and Rasullah in the Summer of 2023.
All are welcome, no audition required, members do not need to be able to read music.
The atmosphere is fun and there is a real sense of community. We currently have about 20 members.

Acclaimed as a “pianist of extraordinary gifts” (Gramophone) and “immense power” (The Times), Clare Hammond is recognised for the virtuosity and authority of her performances and won the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Young Artist Award in 2016.
