Architecture Club presents… David Knight : Building Rights
Tuesday 4th November
Doors at 7pm // Talk from 7:30pm
For November’s talk, Architecture Club welcomes David Knight of DK:CM.
David will present his critique of the current planning system and make a series of proposals for its future, with a focus on how the general public accesses planning expertise and information. The talk will include a presentation of ‘Building Rights‘, a new web resource which aims to increase the accessibility of planning knowledge, reconnect people and planning, and increase spatial justice.
David Knight is a director of DK-CM, an architecture and research studio based in Bethnal Green, London. He is a tutor at the Royal College of Art, where he is also undertaking a PhD, and co-author of ‘SUB-PLAN: A Guide to Permitted Development’ (2009).
“We specialise in beautiful, critical and generous design, working for public and private sector clients. Our work extends from bespoke furniture design to masterplanning, urbanism and policy.”
