Architecture, Music, Politics from Concert Hall to Town Hall: Colin Cobb
Tuesday 5th November
Doors 7pm Talk 7.30pm
Colin Cobb of Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios presents a talk on
What is the civic impact of a major project on a city or town?
Should architects involve themselves in the political and civic life of where they live and work?
Join architect and former town councilor Colin Cobb for an exploration of the way that civic and public projects come about and how architects engage themselves with that process.
From the grand scale of University projects and city master plans to re-imagining the role of a parish council to make real projects happen, Colin will make a plea to architects to actively engage themselves in civic life.
About the speaker:
Colin Cobb is an associate at FCB Studios and was the project architect for the Birmingham Conservatoire. Born and bred in Frome he served as a town councilor from 2015-2019 when he stood down.
