Kurdistan: A Dream Suspended

There is a saying that Kurds have “no friends but the mountains”, as successive conquerors have driven them deep into the hills to preserve their culture and lives. Richard Wilding, creative director of GULAN, a charity which promotes Kurdish culture, is a London-based producer and photographer who has worked extensively in the Middle East. His dazzling photographs bring to life the landscape, history and culture of the Kurdish people, as well as the problems they face in the wake of the Syrian conflict. Illustrated lecture with Q & A. Proceeds to support GULAN’s work
