About Mr Rook’s….
Mr Rook’s Speak Easy is a new storytelling performance club for From, aiming to showcase local performers as well as host tellers from around the UK.
British Isles, oral storytelling nearly died out in England during the last century but was revived in the 1980s. Since then it has been enjoying the same surge in popularity as other spoken-word art forms, and continues to thrive in contemporary performance spaces.
